Some people say that everything happens for a reason. And Khloé’s guest this week, Tisha Campbell-Martin, is definitely a believer. She talked with Khloé about how her job as an actress affected the way in which she reached out to her son in this week’s episode of Kocktails with Khloé.
Tisha, best known for her work on shows like Martin and My Wife and Kids, got personal and talked about her own family with Khloé.
She talked about the struggle she had teaching her son empathy, who was diagnosed with autism at 18 months old.
“I realized why I became an actress,” she said. “To teach someone how to feel.”
A teary-eyed Tisha went on to describe how her job as a performer related directly to how she was able to reach out to her son.
“Because I am an actress, and we master human emotion, and that is our job,” she explained. “So to teach someone empathy is one of the hardest things in the world, especially when it’s not a natural thing that happens.”
There’s no doubt that she was touched by the struggles that come along with being diagnosed with autism, as both a parent and an actress.
Tune in to Kocktails with Khloé to find out what else Tisha, along with Jeannie Mai, Ta’Rhonda Jones, Cardi B and James Maslow, have to add to the convo.
