One of the cornerstones of the Kardashian dynasty, their boutique clothing store DASH, may be more important to the family than you might think–at least it is to Khloé.
After her father Robert Kardashian died, Khloé turned to partying in order to cope. Trying to figure out your life in your late teens/early 20s is hard enough as it is, but dealing with a loss of a parent on top of that could cause anybody to spiral into bad situations.
“I had like three girl roommates and we were just wild, and I was 19 when my dad passed but for like three years I was really just going out every night,” she said. “[I was] being a 19-year-old, but more spiraling, and in L.A. it just wasn’t going to go anywhere positive.”
It was around this time that oldest sister Kourtney decided to open a clothing store and run it with Khloé full time. Khloé was pretty open about how running the store with her sister helped add some much needed structure in her life.
Without knowing too much about the business, Khloé eventually learned the ropes as the sole employee for three years, working six days a week! Sounds like a big undertaking, but Khloé actually enjoyed it.
She liked working there so much that when Ryan Seacrest offered them the opportunity to do KUWTK, she wasn’t into the idea. Her sister Kim and mom Kris Jenner were more interested in the show, but Khloé and Kourtney were more focused on DASH. In the end, the business sisters flipped it in their favor and agreed to do the show if they could film at DASH and use the show as a commercial.
Not only has the business mentality has stuck with Khloé, but she’s still managed to occasionally release the party animal at heart. Check out Kocktails with Khloé and join the rest of her party guests Dita Von Teese, Missi Pyle, Terry Dubrow and Heather Dubrow.
